Engineering Maths 1 Exam Guidelines

The Engineering Maths 1 exam is a single closed book exam.

Use of the handbook is NOT permitted, a formula sheet is available at the start of the paper.

Calculators are allowed.

60% is required to pass.

Resits will be held in June (except for Mechanical day release courses, which have resits in January).

Any exams between 55%-65% are automatically checked by another member of the department to decide if they are a pass or fail.

The exam does not split the questions into separate outcomes, however there are requirements over what has to be asked in the exam.  If you click on each topic you can see what you can expect to be asked in the exam.

(Anything which doesn't appear in the first paper WILL appear in the resit, so be prepared).
